Obama's Unofficial Afghanistan Decision (Nov. 23)

President Barack Obama held an emergency war council meeting last night in Washington to discuss sending more troops to Afghanistan.

Official reports say that Obama has not rendered a decision yet as to how many additional troops will be sent over, but reports from military officials and others cite numbers between 32,000 and 35,000. The increase would include "at least three Army brigades and one Marine Corps contingent." (Huffingtonpost.com) The additional troops would supplement the record 68,000 troops already in Afghanistan, and would for the most part go to the southern and eastern areas where most of the troops already are.

Obama has already put over 20,000 new troops in since he took office, and combat death's have increased. The public approval rating of Obama's strategies and of the war have dropped. My question to you is what is your opinion on the new troops going in?
